LO2.1- Record short film
This image was taken whilst filming a scene outside, this was our most commonly used piece of equipment. this is because a trip-pod is simple to set up and is needed to ensure footage is smooth and not shaky, it is set up simply by opening the trim-pods clips and pulling the legs down to the correct height you want the tripod to be.
We applied the microphone attachment to the camera through the slide at the top, we did this to ensure our audio was as clear as possible. We had to make sure the audio was clear to give viewers as good as an experience as we can possibly provide.
This the dolly cam we used whilst filming motion shots to ensure the footage wasn't shaky and creating as much realism as possible. It is typically used when following a character as the camera frame has wheels which enables it to be more accessible for various types of movements.
Here you can see us changing the frame rate settings on the camera, we did this to make sure out footage was clean and no errors can be seen by the human eye, allowing it to come across as natural again adding realism. This is important in our film as we want to make it relatable for an audience, this is because if the audience can relate to the film they should find it more entertaining.
This is a screenshot from within our short film where you will be able to see how the footage is free flowing, here is a wide shot, we used this to allow the audience to see both of our reactions to the disruption part of the film, this allows the audience to see the difference in personalties of the cast through how they react.
Establishing/Over the shoulder shot to set the scene and introduce the main character.
I used this cinematography too highlight the entrance of an important character, almost as an introduction to the character.
